Regions: The United States are broken up into regions. There are four major US regions. They are: Midwest, West, South and Northeast. The states in a region usually have something in common with each other. To see a map of the US regions click here.
Climate: is the average weather in a place over a period of time. Climate is different from weather because weather can change in a matter of minutes, climate can take many years to change. In Minnesota, our climate is cold and somewhat wet, in a place like Texas, the climate is hot and dry. For more info click here.
Landforms: are basically what you see in that place. Landforms can be mountains, canyons, valleys, plains, grassland, forests, deserts, rivers, lakes and coastland.
